Missouri City Purchasing – Small Business & Vendor Registration
Missouri City places great importance on allowing small businesses and vendors to participate in contracting opportunities. Any businesses registering with Missouri City are contacted by the City’s Purchasing Office whenever bids or quotes are issued.

Missouri City Adopts Small Business Policy (PDF) to Educate and Foster Community Collaboration Among Business Owners on July 21, 2014. Missouri City Council passed a resolution adopting the Small Business Policy to encourage and engage small businesses with Missouri City’s procurement process.
To encourage participation in the Missouri City procurement process, all regional businesses in the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) that meet the United States Small Business Administration size standards (13 C.F.R. Part 121) will receive:
- Notification targeted to its trades and service area, in any notice required by law, from the City for contracts of $50,000 or more, and;
- Notification of, and access to at least two workshops or seminars to be held by Missouri City annually that relate to Missouri City procurement.
As part of the program, five (5) points on a hundred (100 )point scale will be awarded to a small business who makes a good faith effort to subcontract with one or more Missouri-City owned or domiciled small businesses involving contracts of $50,000 or more solicited through competitive sealed proposals.
Notice to Vendors
Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code requires that any vendor or person considering doing business with a local government entity disclose in the Questionnaire Form CIQ, the vendor or person’s affiliation or business relationship that might cause a conflict of interest with a local government entity.
