Port Houston’s Opportunity U Overview
OpPORTunity U (University) is a comprehensive training program designed to build the capacity of local S/MWBE vendors and position their businesses to compete and participate in Port Houston procurement prospects. OpPORTunity U serves as a space to grow prime contractors while leveraging other potential opportunities outside of Port Houston. The case method is used to aid the cohorts in understanding the processes involved in developing policies, strategies, and programs with the end goal of successfully completing the bid process in preparation to do business with Port Houston.
