  • Can start ups get certified? Each certification has different requirements. Some require you to have been in business for at least a year. Certification is not revenue dependent, but you have to show that your business is active and you have generated some revenue.

  • Is getting certified free? Government agency certifications on the Federal, State, and Local Level are free. However, however there are two certifications that are not, which are the NMSDC (Minority) and the WBENC (Woman).

  • Should my capability statement be done in landscape or portrait orientation? Capability statements can be done in either portrait or landscape. We suggest they be landscape to mimic the orientation of a computer screen. This allows viewers to see the document in its entirety without scrolling. However, it is personal preference.
