This session, we will discuss the State of Texas’s Historically Underutilized Business Program (HUB), in what manner to identify your National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP codes) and Highway District, the importance of registering on the Centralized Master Builders List (CMBL), and finally, understanding who qualifies for the HUB Certification, document requirements, and the application process.
Moreover, we will walk you through how to conduct federal/state market research based on the products/services you are trying to sell to the government. Also, you will learn how to conduct research using your commodity codes on various websites. Overall, you will walk away with an understanding of what government agencies are buying, who your competition is, and the importance of setting up your vendor registration with the right commodity codes.
