Golf Classic & Silent Auction
October 14
Join us at the WBEA Golf Classic & Silent Auction, a premier fundraising event supporting our mission to empower women-owned businesses. Proceeds go towards providing WBE certification, procurement opportunities, and scholarships for professional development. Help us reach our goal of offering $25,000 in scholarships to over 800 certified women-owned businesses. Consequently, your participation makes a difference in fostering economic empowerment and leadership in our community.
WBE Certification
Certifying women-owned businesses is part of what we do best, along with programs and connecting WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) with Corporate Members to facilitate real-time business opportunities. Through collaborative programming and one of Houston’s SBA Resource Centers, WBEA serves as a resource to offer training that helps Corporate Members and small businesses grow their capacity.
WBENC’s world-class certification is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations. These include some of America’s most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities, and other entities.
As a Regional Partner Organization (RPO) for WBENC, WBEA is an approved Third-Party Certifier for the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program.
WBENC Certification validates that the business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or woman. Specifically, to achieve WBENC Certification, women-owned businesses complete a formal documentation and site visit process administered by WBEA. WBENC Certification gives women-owned businesses a distinct edge in competitive situations.
About the WBEA
The Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance increases business opportunities for women-owned businesses and corporate members through education, programs, and professional networking.
Established in 1995, The Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance works to increase the opportunities and growth of women-owned businesses. In particular, WBEA members develop programs and design activities that meet the specific needs of women-owned enterprises. Since its inception, the organization has doubled its membership, created scholarship and mentoring programs, and has become one of the nation’s leading certifiers of women-owned businesses.
