About the Texas Apartment Association (TAA)

TAA has been bringing rental housing professionals together since 1963. TAA is the leading advocate, resource and community partner for quality rental housing providers in Texas.

The Texas Apartment Association is a non-profit statewide trade association that provides exceptional advocacyeducation and communication for the Texas rental housing industry. We serve all types of rental professionals, including property owners, builders, developers, property management firms and service providers.  TAA is affiliated with the National Apartment Association and local associations in 24 Texas cities, providing our members an extensive local, regional and national network and allowing members to be a part of something bigger.

Our members lead the industry through innovation, commitment to service, and collaboration. From the implementation of a comprehensive and fair lease, to innovation through new technology and trainings, members are raising the bar for professional standards and development. TAA members were instrumental in developing professional training programs for apartment managers and supervisors, maintenance professionals and leasing staff. The National Apartment Association Education Institute and many of TAA’s local associations offer these programs today.

State and National Affiliations

TAA members are also members of their respective local Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association.  With many regional and national apartment management firms having a major presence or based in Texas, the TAA and its members are active in The National Apartment Association (NAA) and the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) dealing with the issues and trends that affect the apartment industry locally and across the nation.
