Plan for Success
The B2G Victory 8(a) Application Assistance Course will assist your company in completing your SBA 8(a) Business Development Program application. The course includes:
- Virtual Group Kick-Off Session (Required)
- Custom checklist and folder systems for organization of required documents (OneDrive)
- Two virtual one-on-one sessions during the preparation process (Optional)
- One virtual group FAQ session at the halfway point
- One virtual Business Plan consultation (Required)
- Six-hour in-person group application submission session (Required)
- Additional 8 hours of assistance available after submission session, valid approx. 120 days
Participant Requirements
Regardless of the size of your business, where your business is in its life cycle, or the size of your team, we can customize your Victory Plan. The B2G Victory team is comprised of:
- An active SAM.gov registration
- Both a UEI and CAGE code
- Completion of pre-registration consult with Susan Repka, B2G Victory

The 8(a) program can be a valuable tool for experienced socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners, who have already been in business for at least two years or more, and are interested in expanding their footprint in the federal marketplace. The 8(a) program offers unique and valuable business assistance. The 8(a) certification does not guarantee contract awards, but it is a dynamic tool to pursue and capture new opportunities from the government.
Benefits Include:
- Access to Federal Contracts: 8(a) certified businesses gain exclusive access to federal contracts set aside for small businesses, giving them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Mentor-Protégé Program: The SBA’s Mentor-Protégé Program provides 8(a) certified businesses with access to large businesses and government agencies for mentorship, training, and development.
- Business Development Assistance: The SBA provides 8(a) certified businesses with business development assistance, including counseling, training, and technical assistance to help them grow and succeed.
- Sole Source Contracts: 8(a) certified businesses can receive sole-source contracts of up to $4 million for goods and services and up to $6.5 million for manufacturing.
- Joint Venture Opportunities: 8(a) certified businesses can form joint ventures with other businesses to bid on larger contracts, allowing them to expand their capabilities and gain access to new markets.
8(a) applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a small business
- Not have previously participated in the 8(a) program
- Be at least 51% owned and controlled by U.S. citizens who are socially and economically disadvantaged
- Have a personal net worth of $850 thousand or less, adjusted gross income of $400 thousand or less, and assets totaling $6.5 million or less
- Demonstrate good character
